ACS follows strict Internet security standards that meet or exceed the guidelines determined by the Centers for Medicare Security This site uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving data. These measures are designed to protect you and the EDI information you request from loss, misuse and alteration. Privacy ACS ensures sensitive data being transmitted over the public Internet cannot be intercepted and viewed by unauthorized parties. ACS requires all users to access EDI data using a web browser with 128-bit encryption and Secure Socket Layer version 3.0. Both 128-bit encryption and SSL 3.0 are the strongest commercially available privacy technologies. Authentication ACS ensures that users are who they claim to be. Online enrollments are screened to ensure that only actively enrolled EDI providers and their staff have access to sensitive EDI information. After the enrollment has been accepted, enrollees will only be granted access to EDI data for that State EDI Program. Access Control ACS makes sure that users can access only the functions and information that they are allowed to use. Users must enter a unique User ID and Password to access sensitive EDI information. The User ID and Password will only allow access to a single State EDI Program. |
